Noah Kuck – Guide
Noah loves to get out and bird whenever possible, but specifically enjoys spring migration catching warblers on their way back to their breeding grounds. Noah has been very fortunate to travel to Mexico and South America and observe many tropical species.
Noah is the current Vice-President of the North Dakota Birding Society and loves to county bird in the state of North Dakota. Noah has also studied grassland birds within North Dakota and how they are coexisting with cattle and ranchers as well as Piping Plovers along the Missouri River. He assists in teaching students’ ornithology at his college as well as teaching eBird use to grow citizen science.
Seth Owens – Guide
If it has fur or feathers, it’s of interest to Seth, but his true addictions are photographing Grouse, Waterfowl, and other rare and elusive North Dakota species. His work has been featured in several magazines and publications, but his current biggest accomplishment is that he is the youngest person in history to photograph all 5 species of Prairie Grouse.
Seth is a dedicated educator, teaching Hunter’s Safety, coaching high school wrestling leading several habitat/pollinator education events, and biology field trips for local schools. He looks forward to sharing his skills and experience with his future tours.
Felipe Guerrero – Owner & Guide
After several years of avian field surveys, graduate school, adventures in non-profit environmental education, and countless birding trips across the US and to destinations such as Chile, northern Mexico, and Dominican Republic, he started what would become American Birding Guides in 2018.
The avifauna of North American prairie ecosystems are of special importance to Felipe. Though he has spent virtually all of his time with species like Baird’s Sparrow, Sprague’s Pipit, and Chestnut-collared and Thick-billed Longspurs on their migration and wintering grounds in the southwest, he has developed an affinity for them over the years and looks forward to visiting them soon on their breeding grounds!
Felipe is the owner and lead guide of American Birding Guides and New Mexico Birding Guides. He is currently a member of the Arizona Bird Committee, and a former eBird reviewer for Yavapai, Navajo, and Apache Counties. In the past he served as Field Expeditions Chair and board member for Arizona Field Ornithologists, as well as board member for Prescott Audubon Society.
